KUNZ UTS UNIVERSAL TORQUING SYSTEMS

KUNZ UTS Universal Torquing System. A dual spindle nut runner/setter system provides computer controlled torque for all aircraft wheels. The software for the KUNZ UTS is especially written for aircraft wheel torquing.

Two electrically driven spindles are mounted to the overhead swivel beam of the UAS Universal Assembly/Disassembly Stand or to an on-site overhead rail. They are adjustable in distance by electric motor at a push of a button to cover the full range of bolt diameters for all aircraft wheels. The programming and recording of torque data is simple. More then one hundred different programs can be set for different wheel models and the associated torque or angle parameters.
The KUNZ UTS was introduced in 1998, more than 100 systems are in operation today.

Although the working environments inside a wheel shop are tough the KUNZ system is extremely reliable: The monitor, controls and computer are in a separate housing with forced ventilation and dust filter – away from the assembly station. The operator controls the UTS from an industrial standard key board.

A spindle retraction system to speed up the positioning after each nut setting is available at option.

The KUNZ UTS NGtronic® Universal Torquing System Next Generation features fully automated setting of required individual spindle distances and torque values. Every individual wheel data and operator ID can be added to the software which can later be retrieved by using RFiD cards.

An additional sensor system shows on the 12″ touch display which bolts need to be torqued next based on the spindle positioning and when the spindles are above the next set of bolts.

Following information is shown directly on the 12″ touch display: OK/NOK evaluation, P/N of the wheel, name of the program, pre- and final torque value, number of bolts and socket size.

KUNZ UTT Universal Torque Tool. A single spindle nut runner/setter with reaction absorbing lift/lower device.

The UTT is equipped with components similar to the UTS as to spindle, computer control and PC and is using the same software as the UTS.

The UTT can be operated side by side to the UTS with one computer source only, if specified at time of order.

KUNZ ULT UNIVERSAL LOOSENING TOOL

KUNZ ULT Universal Loosening Tool is mounted to a solid frame with four legs. Parallel driven overhead attachment rails allow for horizontal movements in the x- and y-axis.

The nutrunner is mounted to a reaction­ absorbing shaft assembly and can easily be positioned in vertical direction, as the assembly weight is almost neutralised by two heavy-duty balancers.
